One of the things that stuck with me most was the idea that as actors who love what we do we cannot be result oriented. Meaning, that with every submission, workshop, audition, agent meeting, play, etc. we have to enjoy the process of creating and building. We cannot be waiting for the next role, the "BIG BREAK", the best agent, that one movie that will launch our career. We cannot expect those things...because honestly they may never come. Which is ok. Perhaps, right now we are at the highest level of our career, and we have to be happy with that. How many people get to play make believe for a living? Simply being cast one or two times in Los Angeles, which is really like competing the Olympics of acting, is such an accomplishment. I am proud of what I've done as an actress so far and even if I never see "major results" I know that I've enjoyed my journey and will continue to find the joy in it.
This week I had a fun audition and worked on a few good shows. I'm looking forward to another productive week AND my good friend Nick coming to visit from Ohio.
Also, remember when I said Pottsey has been messing around with his camera taking photos here is one of the most recent that I really liked. =)
