Sleeping in is a wonderful thing and Pottsey and I definitely needed it after two long days of driving.
If you have never experienced Texas barbecue then you are missing out. We had lunch with some of my family at a restaurant called, Smitty's. The line was going out the door because everyone knows that the food is AMAZING. It is pretty greasy but it's worth it! We had sausages, briskets, ribs, and lots of bread.
After lunch we got a little tour of Austin with my aunt and her fiancé. The Big Top candy store was pretty cool because it had all sorts of candy from the newest treats to old favorites from when you were a kid. We also went to Austin's Speed Shop. They were closed but outside they some sweet looking automobiles.
We got a pretty good view of the city in one of Austin's beautiful parks too.
Later on we did a Skype chat with my parents and little brother in Ohio. Then, we had a delicious dinner prepared my grandma. There is nothing that can compare to a good home cooked meal. After dinner we played some Spot It and learned how to play Dominoes. All in all, it was a great day.
xoxo,
Brandy Z.
